Searching the Lincoln County Court Docket
Start with Search ARCourts, the Arkansas Judiciary portal. It took over from the old Public CourtConnect name. Five search modes wait there: participant, case, judgment, attorney, and hearing. A full case number is your safest key. A name alone can mislead. Similar names force you to match the court, case type, filing date, and caption before you trust a hit. Pick Lincoln County or the right court location whenever that filter appears.
Treat any result as a lead, not a certified record. District Court participation varies. Older files may sit offline, and confidential matters stay off the screen. Follow this order:
Pick the court carefully first. That one habit prevents false matches and wasted calls to the clerk.
- Identify Circuit Court or the correct District Court department.
- Search the case number, or combine a name with court filters.
- Compare the case style, filed date, type, and status.
- Read events and hearings in date order, starting with the newest setting.
- Ask the filing clerk for the actual document or a certified copy.
An official transition notice explains the switch, and it is why an old bookmark now lands on a help page instead of a case form.
The notice steers people to the current public interface, and Arkansas court technology keeps evolving beneath it.
Five Lincoln County Search Modes
Search ARCourts splits different questions into separate tabs. Participant mode fits when you know a party name. Cases mode is stronger once you hold a case ID or an exact case description. For civil judgment research, Judgments mode narrows the field. Attorneys mode surfaces public cases tied to counsel. Hearings mode is the place to start a date-based calendar check. One caution applies to every tab: a broad name query can pull the wrong person. Demand more than one matching fact before trusting a Lincoln County result.
| Mode | Useful input | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Participants | First and last name or organization | Finding possible party matches |
| Cases | Case number or description | Opening a known case |
| Judgments | Party and court filters | Locating civil judgment entries |
| Attorneys | Attorney name | Public case research by counsel |
| Hearings | Date range and location | Checking settings and calendars |
Search fields may shift during the system transition. Result columns may shift too. When the right Lincoln County match appears, copy the case number exactly. Trying different punctuation can rescue a failed second attempt. Even then, an empty result is not proof that no file exists.
Inside a Lincoln County Court Docket
A Lincoln County docket is sometimes called case history. It indexes everything the court does in a case. The header usually lists the case number, caption, court, type, filed date, parties, and status. Events then follow. These include filings, notices, settings, orders, and the final disposition. An event label proves an item was entered. It does not always show the text of the pleading or the signed order. That gap matters whenever an online document icon is missing or restricted.
| Case Number | The clerk-assigned identifier; copy it exactly rather than assuming a local format. |
|---|---|
| Case Style | The abbreviated names of the parties or the case description. |
| Events | A dated sequence of pleadings, notices, orders, and other activity. |
| Hearings | The scheduled date, time, type, location, and sometimes judicial officer. |
| Status | A broad open, closed, or disposition indicator that must be read with the history. |
| Disposition | The recorded outcome, which may require the signed judgment for full meaning. |
A docket is not a transcript. Nor is it the full case file. To read the words spoken in court, contact the assigned court reporter. For a pleading, exhibit, judgment, or certified copy, ask the clerk holding the original Lincoln County file.
Lincoln County Docket Search Downtime
The Contexte system gateway posts its routine maintenance windows. Work runs early on weekday mornings and across a longer weekend stretch. An error or blank screen in that window may just be maintenance. It is not a vanished Lincoln County docket. Save the case number and retry afterward. If a hearing or deadline is near, skip the wait and call the right clerk.
The gateway also keeps the public case-search path separate from eFlex. That system handles filing and participant access. Those two systems are not interchangeable. The Arkansas Judiciary also warns that it never sends unsolicited text messages. Delete any surprise text demanding case or ticket payment. Dial the published court number instead.
Courts That Keep Dockets in Lincoln County
Arkansas Circuit Courts hold general jurisdiction. Lincoln County belongs to the Eleventh West Judicial Circuit. Six divisions there serve Lincoln and Jefferson Counties. The Lincoln County District Court works countywide with limited jurisdiction. Its departments cover Star City county-case, Star City city-case, Grady, and Gould. Whichever court took the filing controls the record keeper. Note that the County Clerk handles county-government work and does not keep Circuit Court pleadings.
| Court | Docket covers | Where to search |
|---|---|---|
| Lincoln County Circuit Court | Felonies, substantial civil cases, domestic relations, probate, juvenile matters, and District appeals | Search ARCourts, then Lincoln County Circuit Clerk |
| District Court, county cases | Traffic, misdemeanors, violations, and limited civil matters filed as county cases | Search ARCourts if available, then Room 201 clerk |
| Star City, Grady, and Gould departments | City traffic, ordinance, minor criminal, and other assigned limited matters | The department shown on the citation |
| Arkansas appellate courts | Appeals assigned after Circuit Court action | Arkansas Court of Appeals or Supreme Court systems |
The Judiciary overview of Circuit Courts provides the statewide jurisdiction context.
Local custody is the key point for Lincoln County. Circuit records stay with the Circuit Clerk in Star City, even when a judge lists chambers in Pine Bluff.
Six Lincoln County Circuit Divisions
The Eleventh West Circuit directory lists all six divisions. That assignment may show up on a Lincoln County docket. It can shape which judge or court administrator handles a hearing. It never changes which local clerk keeps the filed record. So skip the drive to Pine Bluff. A chambers address alone is not where the file lives.
Check the case history or notice to find the assigned division. Then ask the Lincoln County Circuit Clerk where the setting will occur. A transferred, appealed, consolidated, or severed case can leave more than one file behind. Watch the event history for signs of a move. Then search the original number and the later one.
How to Find Court Dates and Settings
Lincoln County posts no separate official daily-docket website. Begin instead with the citation, summons, hearing notice, or signed order. Search the case and read Hearings alongside the chronological event list. A reset request is not a granted reset. The newest entered setting usually carries the most useful information. Only the court can settle two conflicting notices, though. For a Circuit case, call the Circuit Clerk at 870-628-3154. For a District matter, call the department printed on the citation. Ask whether the setting is still active and whether you must appear. Ask whether it is in person or remote, and which courtroom or building hosts it. Keep the existing date until a signed order or court confirmation says otherwise. The full confirmation chain sits under Lincoln County Court Dates.
- Docket call
- A session in which the court calls several cases to check readiness and order.
- Continuance
- A court-approved move to a later setting; a motion alone does not grant it.
- Pretrial
- A setting for discovery, motions, readiness, and case management before trial.
- Disposition
- The recorded outcome, such as a judgment, conviction, dismissal, or other close.
Lincoln County Courthouse Record Path
The Association of Arkansas Counties profile lists the Lincoln County Courthouse at 300 South Drew Street in Star City. The Circuit Clerk works out of Room 103. The District Court clerk who handles county cases sits in Room 201. The profile does not post counter hours, security rules, payment types, public-terminal access, or accessibility details, so a quick phone call before you travel will tell you which room holds the file you need.
Offices sit close together, but each room keeps its own records. A District citation belongs at the District Court desk. A Circuit pleading belongs with the Circuit Clerk. Some older Lincoln County files are paper, bound, microfilmed, or archived, so a docket search that returns nothing online does not mean the record is gone.
Public Access to Court Dockets
Arkansas governs judicial records with court-specific rules. Public access never promises that every case, event, or attachment appears online. Sealed cases may be withheld or redacted. So may juvenile and adoption matters, protected domestic information, and confidential exhibits. The clerk may not even confirm that a sealed case exists. Ask for the public portion of a named file rather than demanding protected data.
Key rules:
Administrative Order 19 governs access, exclusions, remote access, requests, and compiled court information.
Administrative Order 21 governs electronic filing, which remains distinct from public document viewing.
Arkansas Code §25-19-105 addresses inspection and copying of public records, while court files remain subject to the more specific judicial framework.
Search ARCourts offers public case information. It does not certify anything. A certified copy carries the clerk's authentication, and only the office holding the original record can issue one.
Lincoln County Docket Technology Shift
Arkansas is modernizing its court systems. Search ARCourts has replaced the older public search brand. The AOC Build initiative page describes a 2026 beta. It includes person search, eCitation, filing, outcomes, scheduling, and payments. Criminal and traffic case types entered beta at selected courts. Lincoln County is not named among them. So treat any promise of those features locally with caution.
The practical lesson is caution. Labels, tabs, and screens may change. The filing court and clerk do not. Keep the case number handy, use official Arkansas links, and fall back on the responsible Lincoln County office whenever the interface will not answer a time-sensitive question.
Docket Records at the Clerk's Office
Cindy Glover serves as Lincoln County Circuit Clerk. The office receives filings, records orders and judgments, maintains the chronological case history, and issues plain or certified copies for Circuit Court matters. Search ARCourts is the remote discovery path. The clerk stays the authority when a document is not online, a case predates electronic coverage, or you need authentication. The official Circuit Clerk profile confirms the office channel.
Call first for current fees, accepted payment, turnaround, and delivery options. Lincoln County publishes no schedule for plain, certified, exemplified, or clerk-search copies. Wait until the office quotes the total and payee before sending any payment.

Arkansas eFlex Is Not Docket Search
Arkansas eFlex is the electronic filing system. It serves trained, registered filers and authorized participants, not public case discovery. The official instructions publish a one-time filer registration charge. That amount has nothing to do with a Lincoln County copy fee. The eFlex manual also notes something else about Search Cases there. It covers matters tied to a user's own filings rather than the clerk's full case-management database.
| Channel | Purpose | Key limit |
|---|---|---|
| Search ARCourts | Free public case information | Not every case or document is remotely visible |
| Arkansas eFlex | Electronic filing and participant access | Filed documents are generally restricted to authorized users |
| Circuit Clerk | Official Lincoln County Circuit file and copies | Fees and turnaround must be confirmed |
| District clerk | Department traffic and limited-case records | Use the desk named on the citation |
Sometimes the docket event matters more than the document. Then public search may be enough. When the exact words of an order control, request that order from the Lincoln County clerk that filed it.
Lincoln County Docket Request Channels
One Circuit file can be pursued several ways. Options run online, by phone, in person, by fax, or by mail. Start with the public search. Then call 870-628-3154 with the case number, party names, case type, approximate year, and the exact entry or document wanted. The Circuit Clerk fax is 870-628-5546. Mail goes to 300 S. Drew Street, Star City, AR 71667. Confirm before sending sensitive material, payment, or a return envelope.
Lincoln County posts no official request email. There is no drop-box process, copy fee, counter schedule, or processing time either. Compiled or bulk court information goes through the AOC data-request process. That path is different from ordering one local case. For a District matter, contact the county, Star City, Grady, or Gould department rather than the Circuit Clerk. That routing saves time. It also keeps the request with the office that actually holds the record.
Request the product you need. Ask for the docket or case history to see events, a named filed document for its text, or a certified copy when clerk authentication is required.
Lincoln County Court Dockets by City
Lincoln County has three incorporated cities. Each is a named department of the countywide District Court. Star City also splits county cases from city cases. The citation or notice tells you which desk is right. Felonies and major civil, probate, and domestic matters belong to Circuit Court. That holds no matter which city the dispute or charge started in. The Arkansas Judiciary is the statewide source for court directories and public notices.
Use the city path for local traffic, ordinance, misdemeanor, or limited-jurisdiction records. For the general-jurisdiction docket, use the Circuit path.
